This sculptural yet functional table was designed to resemble the organic crest of a wave and was inspired by the rough seas at Cape Point, where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Oceans meet. Defined by the tactility of organic, hand-hew carving in ebonized oak on the under body, the contrasting sleekness of the ash table top is realised perfectly in a design that is entirely asymmetrical. Supported on a single leg, the genius of this design is that despite its asymmetrical structure, the distribution of weight is equal across the entire surface of the table.
